Christmas sangria with Cointreau

I have just counted the presents I bought... twenty five! Now I need to stop and it's time to have a Christmas drink. My Christmas tree only has silver this year but my sangria is bursting with colours.


Christmas sangria
750 ml prosecco or cava
500 ml apple juice
100 ml Cointreau (depends how strong you want it to be)
pear slices
apple slices
orange peel
segmented oranges
pomegranate arils

cinnamon sticks to decorate

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Squeeze the orange peel so the aromas come free. Cover and keep in the fridge for a few hours. Serve chilled and add ice cubes to the glasses. The pomegrante arils are super decorative but some people don't like it in their drink, you can leave it out for them. A cinnamon stick to decorate is nice though :)
